Privacy Policy

The short version
Your data is yours. We collect the minimum needed to run the app: your email address and the information you choose to enter. We do not run ads, we do not use tracking SDKs, and we never sell or share your data with anyone for marketing. Fields you mark as sensitive in Gear Locker (such as serial numbers) are encrypted on your device before they reach us, with a key that only lives in your iCloud Keychain. We cannot read them.
What we collect
- Account: your email address (for sign-in codes), or an identifier from Sign in with Apple if you choose that instead.
- Your content: the gear, categories, loadouts, and notes you enter. This is stored so it can sync across your devices.
- Subscription status: Apple processes all payments. We receive only a signed receipt confirming your plan; we never see payment details.
How your content is protected
- Everything is encrypted in transit (TLS) and encrypted at rest on our infrastructure.
- Access controls ensure no other user can ever read your rows.
- Fields marked sensitive (serial numbers, purchase prices, and any custom field you flag) get a second layer: they are encrypted on your device with AES-256 before upload. The key syncs through your personal iCloud Keychain and never touches our servers. Our database stores only unreadable ciphertext for those values.
Voice entry
When you use voice entry (a paid feature), the text of what you said is sent to our server and forwarded to Anthropic's Claude API to be sorted into fields. Transcripts are processed transiently and are not stored by us. You review the result before anything is saved.
Service providers
We use a small set of processors to run the service: Supabase (database and authentication hosting), Apple (payments and app distribution), Anthropic (voice entry processing), and Resend (delivery of sign-in code emails). Each receives only what is required for its function.
What we never do
- No advertising, no ad identifiers.
- No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
- No selling, renting, or sharing your data for marketing.
- No reading your sensitive fields. We could not if we wanted to.
Deleting your data
Delete your account any time from the Account tab in the app. This permanently removes your account and all content tied to it from our systems. Subscriptions are managed and cancelled through your Apple ID settings.
Children
Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. Material changes will be called out in the app.
